Barefoot
Arizona Treeless Saddle
Trail Saddles
Manufacturer: Barefoot
Model: Arizona Treeless Saddle
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: Bought this from barefootsaddlesusa.com. Paid over $1,000. I was looking for a good comfortable trail saddle that was good for my horses back.
Likes: I thought it was a nice looking treeless saddle. Looked close to a regular western saddle. Looked good quality. I liked the whole idea of this saddle. Good Sweat Marks!
Dislikes: I rather just buy a big pillow and strap a rope around it and some stirrups and you got a Barefoot saddle. This saddle put me in a bad riding position. You sit very wide and it pushes you forward. I felt like I had to lean back all the time from keeping myself from falling forward off my horse! The stirrup bars poke out from the saddle and poke into your legs. It hurts! Also I did not like the annoying sound of the velcro seat every time you move! They claim you sit close to your horse. You don't! you feel like your 5 feet away from our horses back because the saddle is so thick. This saddle slipped all over the place! I am a very balanced rider and I slipped all over. I did not feel comfortable even cantering in this saddle. I had to check the cinch constantly and I always had to have a breast collar with a roper cinch to keep this saddle on my horse. I rode in this saddle like 40 times hoping it would get better. But it didn't. It was so embarrassing to have to have help mounting from the ground! I do not like these saddle I have tried the Arizona, Cheyenne, Arizona nut and Virginia Rose and all of them the same. The Arizona Nut saddle was the best out of all of them. Don't wast your money! If you want a good treeless saddle buy the Circle Y just be natural tree free saddle. It is amazing!!!!! I love it so much! Does not slip awesome sweat marks perfect ridding position.
Quality: I think these saddles are so so over priced I would not wast my money on these saddles again. Good quality but nubuck leather gets shiny after awhile and looks ugly. Zippers are annoying and same with the velcro seat.
Summary: I would not buy any of these saddles if I were you. Not worth the money. I feel safer bareback then in this saddle! I will gallop bareback but would not gallop in this saddle ever!
