Purchase: I bought this blanket on Horse.com for around $30 last year for our mare that needed another layer for her blankets.
Likes: This blanket seems nice and warm is is pretty easy to put on. I like the color and the fleece neck liner. It fits my horse really well and was a very good price.
Dislikes: This wasn't the greatest item, I'm afraid. After one year there is a large rip where there is a buckle in the front and another rip by the withers. There are no straps or buckles other than the one on the chest. Because of this the blanket shifts around a lot. This blanket also gets dirty really easily. Hair and dirt just seem to cling to it.
Quality: They quality of this blanket is just okay. It's reasonable I guess for the price, but not up to my standard. There are so many coolers and blanket liners out there that are cheap and better quality than this one. It's practically falling apart. The only reason it isn't is because I sewed it where the buckle almost fell off.
Summary: Overall, I wouldn't recommend this blanket liner/cooler. It doesn't hold up well at all and there are so many other options out there. It gets dirty easily and doesn't wick moisture that well. It doesn't stay in place at all due to no belly surcingle or leg straps. My other horse's State Line Tack cooler is far better than this one and was about the same price. In my opinion, go for the bigger more trusted brands like Pessoa, Rider's International (Dover's brand), State Line Tack, etc.
