Purchase: I bought these boots at Dover Saddlery on clearance about a year ago for $200. Originally they were $380 I think. I have an abnormally small calf, so even the Dublin slim was too big. The Ariats apparently run smaller in the calf so they fit perfectly in the slim!
Likes: These boots fit my legs amazingly, when none of the other ones did. The leather is high quality, and I love the zipper back. They do take some time to break in, but that's to be expected. I think these boots run true to size, besides being a bit small in the calf.
Dislikes: The only thing that's even SLIGHTLY wrong with these boots is that they take some time to break in and were kind of uncomfortable at first. I guess another thing would be the price. If they hadn't been on sale, I don't think I would have gone for them.
Quality: These boots are beautifully constructed. The stitching is holding up well and they look brand new after a handful of uses (they're only my show boots). The leather is great, nice and supple after a couple times of conditioning it.
Summary: These are great boots. They fit great and are sure to last. As long as you don't mind the price, you should definitely buy these! Actually, I would recommend buying the newer model since the Challenge isn't really available anymore. So, the bottom line is to get the Challenge II!
