Purchase: I bought 6 of these blankets for 59.95 each from tackwholesale.com. I had purchased other tack from them before with no issues and the blankets were closed front belly band which is exactly what I wanted at a good price.
Likes: Nothing now. I bought it because it had the belly band and a closed front.
Dislikes: The first time I put it on my 29 yr old Quarter horse, the rear leg strap snap broke. No biggy. About the third time I put it on him, the stitching came unsewn on one of the velcro straps on the belly band. Next, an entire half of the belly band itself came unsewn, not ripped, the thread actually came out. Then within 10 uses (I live in Florida so it was used relatively little and only at night) the blanket split in half at the seam down the horse's back. It split into two halves. Yes, you read that right, two pieces.
Quality: The thread literally began to come out of every stitch on the blanket until it split into two halves. The interior of the blanket that is against the horse's body also began to sort of disintegrate. Like it was rotted. It just started coming apart.
Summary: I have never seen anything like it. The blanket literally fell apart. The merchant was contacted 32 days after the blankets were delivered and said they have a 15 day return policy. I had put 5 of the blankets in the attic and never even opened them. I have 5 horses but needed one for this season for a new horse and ordered 5 more for next year. They gave me a $50 credit towards another blanket (gee thanks, that's the only brand they sell) but refused to take back the unopened blankets. I even took pictures of the seams and threads and emailed them. No response to that. Now I just looked at the website to get the exact name of the blankets and they are now buy one for 59.95, get one free. DON'T DO IT! I am out over $400.00 and will still have to buy new blankets for next year.
