Purchase: I got this for my birthday over a year ago in periwinkle. The price on Dover Saddlery is $65.
Likes: This bareback pad is really nice and cushy. Even though the color is not purple at all, the light blue looks really nice on my bay QH. There are many girth holes and the girth is covered in fleece, which is nice. There's a handle in the front to hold onto if you need it.
Dislikes: I wish there were even more holes on the girth, and that the fleece went up all the way on the girth for better horse comfort. I had to punch a hole myself in the girth, which was VERY difficult since it is made of nylon. Also, if you don't tighten the girth enough, the bareback pad will slip to the sides.
Quality: This is a well made bareback pad for the price. It makes my ride so comfy. It would be nicer if it didn't slip around as much, but that's not too big of a deal. It is holding up well and there aren't any wear marks on it yet.
Summary: I really like this bareback pad. Sometimes it's a pain to put on, but overall it's really nice. If you have a horse with high withers, you should get the high profile bareback pad because this one won't fit your horse nicely.
