Purchase: I bought this helmet about 2 years ago at Dover Saddlery when my old helmet no longer fit my head. It cost $60.
Likes: I love the purple color of this helmet. The fit is also great for me. I haven't suffered any serious falls in this helmet, but I would say it would keep you pretty safe. The harness fits pretty well on it and I like how it has the leather cover for the harness. It is nice and cool on the hot summer days.
Dislikes: There's not much to not like about his helmet. I mean, of course it's not as nice as a GPA or Charles Owen, but for the price it's a nice helmet.
Quality: The Duratec feature is really cool, and my helmet doesn't have any major scratches on it. It looks almost brand new after two years of hard wear.
Summary: This is a great schooling helmet. I was recently at Dover, when the sales person told me that the dial helmets were unsafe for jumping. So, that means I'll be upgrading in the spring. But overall this would be a fantastic helmet for a beginner rider.
