Manufacturer: Dixieland Saddle
Model: Trail Saddle
Category: Trail Saddles

Purchase: I bought this saddle from Cynthia at Dixieland saddles. Her base price is $1069, but she had 2 listed on ebay as or best offer and accepted my offer of $900.It was shipped on completion day and arrived 2 days later.

Likes: Absolutely beautiful. I paid close to the same amount of money for a Tex tan and it feels like a piece of cardboard. Dixieland saddles use the softest highest quality leather. The tooling is beautiful! I can't say enough about how pleased I am w/ my purchase, wish I had done it sooner. I always had back and knee pain very soon into the ride and ended up stoved up w/ a heating pad and motrin after 2 days of hard riding. That did it I finally invested in a good saddle( not to mention my horse was getting white hair on his back and withers). I have rode 2 weekends ( a total of 4 days ) I found myself automatically wincing when my horse broke into a trot(he is not gaited, quarter horse foundation paint)no need though for once in years there was no pain!! I rode for 6hrs.That would have done me in before. But, not w/ my new saddle I was back out there the next day. And I was fine the following day. Dixieland Saddles have QUALITY leather w/ tooling that a Tucker would not. A felt liner, absorbs shock and looks awesome. COMFY stirrups that are tooled to match!Secure deep pocketed seat, my horse tested this, and although I've ridden in a suede seat for 10 years, I was very secure any most important comfy, no back pain! My horse was the most relaxed I've ever seen him, he lowered his head during the ride which he has never done before. They also can custom make you saddle any way you want.I shopped for a year, sat in all the name brands and the dixieland won hands down, at like half the price of a new Tucker or Circle Y. Cynthia was very patient and professional.I also ordered the matching breast collar and it was gorgeous as well. Everybody I saw on the trail commented on how much they liked my saddle.I can't say enough about how wonderful it has been to ride hard, be able to actually enjoy myself and not suffer. As I said I have a big paint, 15.1, about 1,000 lbs and it fit him beautifully, they will custom fit you and your horse also.I normally ride a 15" barrel saddle and the 16" dixieland has made me feel just as secure.Did I say I love it and it's so beautiful. I moistened the inner stirrups and put a broom through and they have stayed turned beautifully. If you are looking for a comfortable quality saddle at a totally reasonable price get a Dixieland. They are hand crafted and assembly line like some of the other top saddles. They obviously take pride in their work. This saddle will last forever! Oh and I got the butterfly skirt which really does give you a wonderful close contact feel. I also have the flex tree which may be part of the wonderful back relief this saddle has given me.There is no break in period these saddles are pure comfort from the first sit.

Dislikes: nothing, If i had been willing to pay a little more I would have had them custom make one, but I'm happy w/ the in stock saddle that I got.

Quality: QUALITY soft leather, felt lined, tooled and cushioned super comfy stirrups, beautiful tooling, rich mahogany/cherry color, even the latigo was the nicest leather I'd ever touched. HAND MADE USA PROUD.options, personal customer service that doesn't end after purchase. You talk to a real person when you call, the same one.

Summary: Buy one , you will not regret it and everyone will be like you paid how much for that saddle, cause it will be way nicer than their Tucker or Circle Y..you and your horse will be happy,,,you can return it if it doesn't fit..
