Purchase: I bought this saddle new from English Riding Supply. I paid around $1100 for it. I really liked the design of the saddle and had ridden in one before.
Likes: The leather is of great quality for the price of the saddle. It has the look and feel of a much more expensive saddle. The seat is soft and comfortable and the y-girthing system is great for the horse. The panels are wool flocked and very soft, adding to the comfort of the horse.
Dislikes: The only thing that displeases me about this saddle is that the manufacturer doesn't tell you the twist is VERY wide. I didn't realize this when I bought it and the saddle gave me saddle sores. It is perfect if you like a wide twist but I ended up having to sell mine.
Quality: The construction is (except for the wide twist) is functional, comfortable, and durable. The leather is a beautiful pebbled buffalo on the flaps and smooth on the knee rolls and seat. I have no complaints about the look or feel of this saddle.
Summary: I feel it is a fabulous buy for the money. Just be aware of the wide twist (even in the regular tree) and whether or not it will fit your body type. Fits the horse well.
