Likes: The saddle is simply breath-taking! It is a functional piece of art. I get compliments on it everywhere I go. The saddle uses steele's 'fit to be seen' tree, so it fits my pony perfectly. He moves well in it and is never sore. I love the rigging style and the pre-turned stirrups.
Dislikes: The cost, but the quality, tooling, and attention to detail takes some of the sting out of the price tag. The saddle is heavier than some ~ 30 pounds. It doesn't have the seat cushioning that I'd grown accustomed to in other brands, but I'm never as sore after a long ride in my JJ Maxwell as I used to be in a cheaper saddle with inches of memory foam, so I certainly can't fault the design :)
Quality: Fantastic - the leather and workmanship is very high quality.
Summary: If you want to splurge on a custom saddle for your horse with gorgeous tooling options, this is a really nice saddle to own.
