Purchase: I purchased this item from a local tack shop on consignment for $400 slightly used without the easy exchange gullet system package. I purchased this saddle for the purpose of fox hunting; I needed a saddle that could get wet and dirty and was easy to clean.
Likes: I really like that this saddle is easily cleaned. I fox hunt in it all the time and whenever it gets dirty I simply take a damp rag and wipe it off and it looks as good as new.
I also very much like the easy change gullet as my horse just turned 5 so he has slightly needed a change in gullet size and the Wintec 2000 made it possible to change without having to buy a new saddle.
Dislikes: The only thing that I do not like about this saddle is the hard bottom that rests on my horses back, I would like it to be a little bit more soft so I can feel better about riding my horse in it frequently.
Quality: This saddle is very well made, and is very durable. The easy change gullet is also very well constructed and simple to install.
Summary: Buy this saddle if you like to go outside and are worried that you might get rained on or dirty. I know many other people who own Wintecs everyday and enjoy them.
