Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle slightly used from a private party in another state, sight unseen, at significantly less than new ($1500 compared to $4500), and then had it fitted to my horse by Schleese. I needed to find a saddle to fit my young horse, and the idea of being able to adapt and refit it as he matured was very appealing.
Likes: The workmanship is outstanding, the leather is scrumptious and soft, and the fit and adjust-ability is great. The flaps stay tight to the horse, and the cutout for the horse's shoulder really helps free up the horse's movement. In addition, the gel cut out for the rider's pubic bone makes for a very comfortable ride.
Dislikes: There is nothing I don't like....excellent saddle.
Quality: Beautiful leather, velcro removable thigh blocks, comfortable seat, and high quality craftsmanship make this a lifetime saddle.
Summary: I would recommend this saddle or any Schleese model that works best for you and your horse. Top quality and built with the comfort of horse and rider in mind.
