Purchase: I purchased a custom all purpose saddle. The company is in the UK and I am in the US. I found Matt Marlow online while researching saddle makers. I contacted him and sent him the information he needed to make a saddle to fit my horse and me. I was a little nervous about a long distance purchase but something about Matt made me feel at ease.
Likes: My new saddle fits my horse perfectly. It also fits me perfectly. I feel comfortable, secure and confident. The quality and workmanship are far superior to any saddle I have ever seen. The English leather is beautiful and the precise fit is unbelievable. The cost of the saddle, even with shipping out of the country, is very reasonable compared to other saddles.
Dislikes: If I must list a dislike, it would be that I can't thank Matt in person! And that I didn't buy my first two saddles from him.
Quality: The quality of the leather is top of the line. The craftsmanship is is perfect. their saddles are handmade with attention to every detail.
Summary: I could not imagine ever buying a saddle from anyone else. the process was so easy and I couldn't be happier. I will recommend Heritage Saddlery to all of my equestrian friends.
