Purchase: I purchased a used Circle Y western Equitation saddle just a few weeks ago. I paid $700.00.
Likes: This is a 16 inch saddle, and it is made just beautifully. It has a rounded skirt to allow more freedom in the back end for your horse. The leather is soft and supple, even for its age. It has a beautiful luster and shine to the leather. The only wear spot seems to be on the horn, which is understandable.
Dislikes: It appears that a few of the "rings" are slightly rusted, but truly, there is nothing I do not like about this saddle.
Quality: This saddle is constructed of high grade leather. Carefully made by hand by Circle Y saddle makes of Yokem Texas. My saddle is on full quarter horse bars. It fits my 16.1 hand Tennessee walking Horse mare perfectly.
Summary: Love It! If you have the opportunity to go and see one of these saddles, its definitely worth the trip. I would say that as long as you can see stamping on the saddle from the company, its worth the risk to bid on one of these jewels on ebay, but only if you can't find one in your area.
