Purchase: I purchased these new from Smartpakequine.com for around $140.
Likes: These half chaps are very easy to clean as they are smooth leather and not suede. The stretch leather panel on the back of the calf conforms nicely to your leg so there is no bagging. Tredstep has really good, accurate sizing so there is no guessing about fit.
Dislikes: The snaps always break after a month or so of use and I have to get them replaced at a shoe repair. Also, the stitching around the bottom of the chap and near the lower snaps comes unraveled rather quickly.
Quality: These chaps are well constructed, aside from the snaps and lower stitching as mentioned previously. They tend to last me about a year and a half of daily use.
Summary: Though these chaps have a few issues, they are my favorite due to the great fit and nice overall look. I've been wearing Tredstep chaps for years now and haven't been able to find another that looks and feels as great as they do!
