Purchase: I bought this saddle through an animal rescue group but the order is actually fulfilled through Jeffers Saddlery. I paid $485. I purchased it to replace my older Wintec dressage saddle (non-adjustable gullet) that didn't fit my new horse.
Likes: The saddle is attractive and looks very nice. The non-leather material stays looking new a lot longer than a leather saddle would. It's very easy to clean. I liked the straighter flaps for trail riding.
Dislikes: The synthetic leather-like material was very slippery and made it really difficult to keep a secure seat at anything faster than a walk.
The adjustable gullet is really a big gimmick. I later learned there is a lot more to fitting a saddle than fitting it on the withers. The saddle "bridged" badly and there was no contact with my horse's back across the middle (under the rider's seat). Despite the CAIR panels the rider's weight is not distributed evenly. I later learned that Wintec saddles are notorious for this.
Quality: The saddle is well made with high quality materials and quality workmanship.
Summary: I don't recommend this saddle. It was uncomfortable to ride in and does not fit horses' backs properly.
