Purchase: I bought this offline 7 years ago through, I believe state line tack. I paid $150. I was needing a nice turnout blanket for my 14hh mare. She was turned out 24/7 so I needed something warm and waterproof.
Likes: This blanket has an amazing fit to it, it doesn't rub anywhere ( important to measure your horse properly). Everything is so securely put together on this blanket... not a tear, rip, or wear mark anywhere on this blanket and I'm just finishing up my SIXTH winter with it. It's 10000% waterproof. I've had mare out in torrential downpours for days and she is toasty warm and dry underneath it all.
Dislikes: There is absolutely nothing that I don't LOVE about this blanket. I've had it for 7 years and have used it heavily for 6 winters, and don't have anything I dislike.
Quality: The quality of this blanket is outstanding. I know you can spend more on blankets, but the main question is "why?"... for $150 I have a blanket that can endure all sorts of weather, horse "play", and last for YEARS. All hardware and buckles are sturdy and last.
Summary: I have several horses, and have had to purchase many blankets throughout the years... I've tried some other brands when they've been "on sale" thinking I'll try something out that has a good deal, but I'm always very disappointed and go right back to my tried and true Weatherbeetas.
