Purchase: Purchased this pad from a local western store (Iowa) to try out for my new mutton-withered gelding. My full qh bars saddle had started rubbing the hair off of the sides of his withers and decided to try a wool felt pad before having to go out and buy a whole new saddle. Paid $125 for it and worth every penny.
Likes: Fits very well on my horse and under my saddle. Stays in place, no pinching or rubbing. High end look and feel for a median price. Leaves even sweat marks. Wool is nice and tightly compressed. Wear leathers are decent and can be customized on the website.
Dislikes: I'm not crazy about the gray color (which is the only color available) on my bay horse but it is a vanity issue and not a functional one.
Quality: Made with one continuous piece if wool. No separating or fuzzing out or balling/bunching of the fabric. Good quality and durability. The color has rubbed off of the wear leathers from the cinch but not noticeable when saddled up.
Summary: Would absolutely recommend this pad and plan on purchasing another in the near future.
