Purchase: I am a long time user, but the last bottle I bought was $17 at south Texas tack.
Likes: I like that it really has residual repellent as advertised when used as labeled. If you treat the horse once, you won't experience multi day control. If you use the product once a day for three days in a row, you will see longevity in the repellent. We are on the sultry Texas gulf coast. I have seen two weeks of mosquito control from this product. Shake well, and use religiously for three or four days.
Dislikes: Price. However, if used properly, you use less of this product than other cheaper sprays. I use this on my pastured horses, not the ones I ride and bathe all the time.
Quality: A+ quality
Summary: I have been using ultra shield for several years now. I couldn't be more pleased. I think those who have bad reviews did not use more than once, and those who saw what appeared to be live mosquitoes biting did not realize that they die so quickly that they can sometimes look like they are biting. I have seen this plenty of times myself. They look like live mosquitoes, but a cursory brush of the hand reveals that they are in fact dead.
