Purchase: Searched many places for a quality gaited saddle at a reasonable price. Dixieland Gaited Saddles had a large selection to choose from. There was the option to purchase "off the rack" or custom fitting. I chose to buy off the rack. The price was $1,118.00 including shipping.
Likes: The saddle fits my horse like a glove. It is very comfortable and I can tell a huge difference in how my horse moves with the gaited saddle.
Dislikes: There is not much to dislike about this saddle. The only thing that comes to mind is the latigo straps that come with the saddle are extremely long for my horse. It would have been nice to request a particular length. With the saddle being "off the rack" I understand the logic for such a long strap.
Quality: Great workmanship with the beautiful soft leather. This saddle is ready to go as soon as you receive it. No break in required like many saddles. Plenty of place to put accessories for the trail.
Summary: Overall, this was a great purchase. I believe the saddle was shipped the same day I ordered it and received it in time to use on the weekend. Great customer service and willingness to listen to any concerns. The craftsmanship and quality of the leather make the price I paid a real bargain. It is actually priceless to order a saddle that fits your horse like a glove and your horse enjoys it as much as you do.
