Purchase: I bought this saddle at a tack shop called Doonaree Tack Shop in Simcoe, Ontario. It cost $850 plus GST, but I got it on sale for $695 plus GST. I bought this saddle becuase I just sold my smaller Pessoa Pony Saddle. (which I miss very much!)
Likes: This saddle is very comfortable and a beautiful colour as well. Its got a really squishy seat and fits all my ponies and horses beautifully. The shape of the saddle, is gorgeous. The flap is just the right length and the seat is just the right amount of depth. Fit me beautifully!
Dislikes: It does sit slightly back on my ponies backs, wasn't sure why so I used a riser pad with it. The knee rolls look a little silly becuase they are a deep gold colour and the saddle is a redish brownish, oakbark colour. Which made them look very out of place. They were very comfortable and lived up to their purpose.
Quality: Th quality of this saddle was at a great amount. It could have been slightly lighter, so it didn't take as much oiling as it did to darken up. The knee rolls could have been leather so they matched better, the colour of them throughs off the balance of the saddle.
Summary: I would suggest this saddle to anyone concentrating on equitation. It really helps your form, especially in the leg. If you ride both horses and ponies, this saddle would work well for you. Its an over all well put together saddle, just the colours are a little off.
