Purchase: I met Debra at the Minnesota Horse Expo 2010 and talked with her about my Spotted Saddle Horse. I tried several of her at the expo saddles and really enjoyed sitting in them. I had an idea in my head what I wanted because of my bad knees English leathers were a must, but with the trail riding we do I needed a horn too. The Sinclair Hybrid was $1599, very reasonably priced for a saddle that was custom made for both me and my horse!
Likes: Debra was extremely easy to work with. We did the entire fitting over phone and email. She assured me if it didn't fit she would make sure that we got it right. I was a little apprehensive but when I finally got my saddle I loved it! It's light for a trail saddle (about 26lbs), very high quality made and when I put it on my horse it fit perfectly. I can't wait to put miles on it this riding season.
Dislikes: The English style fenders get in the way of tightening the western style cinch, but I ordered it this way.
Quality: Excellent handmade quality, light (~26 lbs, the stirrups have give to make sure leg fatigue stays at a minimum.
Summary: This is a very reasonably priced custom handmade trail saddle. I would highly recommend Crest Ridge Saddlery for your next saddle!
