Purchase: I bought this saddle off a private seller online. I paid $350 for it. It was in nearly new condition and was estimated to be about 2-3 years old.
Likes: I love the fairly deep seat and cushy foam knee rolls. It has just the right amount of knee block, kind of a thicker pencil block. It is just a very secure saddle for me. I trust it over jumps, and wouldn't hesitate to (and do) use it for lower dressage as well. It's very comfortable for anything you do.
It is just a very well made and correct saddle. I'm about 5'5" and 135lbs. My 17.5 is perfect size and keeps my leg in the right spot all the time.
It has a slightly higher pommel than usual which prevented any wither clearance issues.
Dislikes: My ONE complaint about it is the "E-motion tree". Company reps said that the saddle fits anywhere from narrow to wide, but it really doesn't. And you have to ride in it for about 20 hours before the tree really "sets" to the horse your using. I'm not crazy about the fact that it could be causing pain to my horse for the first 20 rides! Especially because it was on the narrow side when received. It has "flexed" to a generous regular at this point, and I'm not sure if it will go any further. But it fits the one horse I use it on so I'm fine with it. I probably wouldn't buy another saddle with E-motion tree though, I got lucky with this one. Those with wide stock horses will not be able to use it.
Quality: The leather is supple and soft, but doesn't scratch easily. It hasn't required a ton of oiling and the stitching is holding up well. The billets appear to have a nylon core and haven't stretched. Very satisfied with the construction and quality.
Summary: I love this saddle, but I can see it not working for a lot of horses due to the e-motion tree. But if you have a horse who needs a narrow or regular tree I think you will enjoy it. It's a great buy for the money especially if you buy used.
