Purchase: I purchased my saddle from a second hand store in Northern British Columbia and I paid $800 for it in 2006.
Likes: It looks exactly like a Barnsby All Purpose Saddle, the leather is the same quality, I also own a Barnsby and in placing the two saddles side by side there are only minor differences 1) Palaton - narrower twist (good for the girls) 2) less padding under saddle on lower part of the shoulder - better for wider horses. The Barnsby is padded further down making it pinch the wider guys. The spring tree is also a great bonus.
Dislikes: The makers scrimped on the quality of the stitching. Stitching on fenders starter to come out and I had to have it restitched. Other than that it is great.
Quality: Very well made saddle, leather quality is equal to the Barnsby. Looks good too. Honestly, I can't tell them apart unless I turn them upside down.
Summary: I am surprised that no one has heard of these saddles, they are very well made, excellent quality leather and very comfortable on the horses. They are show quality saddles which keep you in an excellent position. In reading other posts I obviously paid more than most people for my saddle but it will last a long time and will look great. Sometimes we think just because something has a fancy name it is better.......that is not always the case.
