Purchase: I purchased this saddle in 2010 from Pelham Saddlery, in excellent used condition, for $1100.
Likes: Having ridden in a friend's Ainsley A/P, I was on the search for one, but they are not easy to find. I test rode in about 10 saddles, and none fit my leg. I am 5'4", but have a long thigh. I also ride mostly western, so I ride with a straighter leg/thigh than I used to when I rode Hunters. This saddle puts me in a great position, fit both my horses, is very secure, and is super high quality.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like about it is the way the cantle comes way up in back, gives the saddle a very all purpose/dressage look, which I could do without. But, it also makes one's seat more secure in the saddle, so it is a trade off.
Quality: The construction and quality of the saddle are top notch, this particular saddle was very lightly used when I bought it, it needs to be broken in fully. Great leather.
Summary: It took me 6-8 months to find the right saddle, and this one was worth the wait. I rode in much more expensive saddles, and nothing else balanced me as easily as this one. If you can find one, buy it.
