Purchase: I bought this saddle for my daughter used from a private party for $200.00.
Likes: These are fabulous Hunt Saddles. Can't figure out why Crosby ever stopped producing them. Tad Coffin designed one heck of a saddle. I rode in a Lexington that I borrowed when I was a kid. LOVED the way it "put you" in the correct equitation position and held you there. 25 years later, my daughter is taking lessons and lo and behold, what her trainer had for her to ride in was a Lexington TC. I started searching and was lucky enough to find one at a bargain price. You can't these new anymore...you have to find someone who is willing to part with a used one and even then they go for about $500.00.
Soft leather, pencil knee rolls, and a cutback pommel are this saddle's defining features.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like about the Crosby Lexington TC is that they don't make them anymore. It makes finding what you want in size more difficult.
Quality: As I said, they are out of production, so the ones you find are old. However, they are made of such good quality, that they look and ride like a much newer saddle. The one we bought looked like I could have come straight from the tack shop except for one little scuff and a broken billet.
Summary: If you ride hunt, you really need to try one of these out.
