Purchase: I bought this pad on ebay for $50.00.
Likes: There was definitely a difference in the amount of motion I could feel from the mare I was riding (she's not smooth), and I assume that she felt as much difference on her back as well.
Dislikes: It is a heavy pad and can be difficult to keep in place under the saddle.
Quality: It is constructed well, and the cover is easy to wash and keeps the pad itself in great shape.
Summary: This is a very nice pad, well constructed, and very good at relieving pressure for the horse's or rider's back. I wish that it was a bit lighter and easier to keep under the saddle. (Dover Saddlery makes a contoured fleece pad with a pocket for the equigel pad, if a contoured pad suits you.)
