Likes: Needed to fill in hollows behind shoulders. Horse has high withers. Was "making do" using shims,but decided this pad would do a better job.
The shape of the extra padding is spot on. Does the job perfectly. The extra padding is not crushing down. Most importantly, my horse is very happy with this pad, making it worth every penny.
Dislikes: I got the one with the felt bottom. Easy to clean hair off . I use a rubber dog brush.
There has been some slight pilling,but it pulls off easily,not really a problem.
You do need to get the extra padded area completely behind the shoulders,so measure your horse's back first,as the extra is at the very front(about 1" back) of the pad.
I needed to get the 30"x30" one to avoid the pad being too long.
Quality: Well constructed. The contour shaping makes it fit really well.
Summary: Well worth the price and then some.
