Purchase: I bought this girth about 2 years ago for about $45 to replace an old cracked neoprene girth.
It was advertised as:
Patented six layer system eliminates twist and cinch distortion
Extra soft, non-chafing, non galling neoprene is self lubricating, flexible
Reduces girth itch under extreme conditions
Anti-microbial and anti-fungal
Magni-hide seamless nylon top cover is impervious to spurs, barb wire and brush
Likes: Easy to clean, seemed to be comfortable for my mare, worked as advertised until it distorted.
Dislikes: Although it looks like new, I can no longer use this girth because the leather-like layer next to the neoprene and at the level of the buckle has distorted to the point of forming an almost inch high hump. When the girth is tightened this hump puts a lot of uncomfortable pressure into the horse's side. She galled on the last ride, therefor I consider this girth totally unusable.
Quality: Seems good.
Summary: I liked this girth very much until the problem showed up. Now I need a replacement girth but will not buy another one of these unless this bug is worked out..
