Purchase: I bought these off of TackTrader and paid $150.00 (A steal as these are $399.00 new!). They were barely used!
Likes: The leather is very light weight and form fitting. The detailing is very nice (A standard for Hobby Horse). They have a nice silver buckle set and 2 covered leather conchos on the rear adjustable belt. They also have spur slots. The best feature is the PMS strip down the side for extra "give". Helps when you have a growing child or a weight fluctuating adult! Another good selling point is that they clean up easily. Just a quick wipe with a damp cloth and you are ready to go.
Dislikes: This sand color might not match all the new products Hobby Horse has out right now. There new slinkies are not the same "sand" color and is a obvious miss-match. You have to hunt for the lighter sand color which these chaps are made out of.
Quality: EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.... Nice light weight leather (Medium weight). Not too thin and not too heavy. Nice detailing and craftmanship. Very happy with them.
Summary: A nice buy for the serious show person. These should last a lifetime with reasonable care. I have always trusted Hobby Horse and these chaps are no exception.
