Purchase: I have some pretty bad neck trouble, and my doc's said I needed to wear a lighter weight helmet. I was looking at some CO and GPA helmets online, and was expecting to pay $200+ dollars on a helmet. I decided to stop in at the local tack shop in order to try on a few helmets to decide on fit. I ended up spending $50 on the Ovation Schooling Helmet. It's always nice to find yourself with an extra 150 bucks!
Likes: It is light weight (Lighter than any CO or Troxel they had at the shop), very ventilated, low profile, has a notch for a pony tail, and looks really nice. I have only ridden in it twice, but it seems like it will last a long time. It also came with a carrying bag, which is really nice for keeping it from getting scratched up.
Dislikes: Nothing yet...so far it has greatly exceeded expectations.
Quality: Seems to be put together really nicely. The dial to fit system seems much more robust than the Troxel version. The helmet is relatively new, so I am not sure how it will wear.
Summary: This helmet was a really nice surprise, both in terms of fit, looks, weight and price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new schooling helmet. You could probably even wear it at shows, it is quite slick looking.
