Purchase: I bought the Pelham Ascot Apollo boots at Tack Liquidators for $35 a pair plus $20 for shipping.
Likes: My favorite part about the Apollo dressage boots is that they come in almost every color!!! I have a mare and her and I LOVE pink. Everything I have for her is pink so I ordered these boots for the front and back. on and are way easier then polos! Perfect for dressage horses. They are machine washable and super easy to just wipe them off if there just a little dirty.
Dislikes: The thing that's a little weird about the boots is that the sizing is a little weird...it seems like there's a lot of difference between the different sizes. Luckily it worked for my horse and I didn't have to return them. There not very stiff which I don't know if that's a bad thing but there probably not as sportive as some other boots.
Quality: The quality differed between the 2 sets I bought. The front set had nice fleece and were the perfect neon pink...although the back set had a slightly different color fleece and wasn't as thick as the front ones. Also the back pair wasn't the same exact color...they were a more coral color so I think that the pair definitely differ between batches on boots that they make. The stitching was nice and secure and the elastic on the straps doesn't seem like it should stretch out to much.
Summary: I have a 14.3hh paint mare and I bought her smalls for the front and mediums for the back. Watch out for the quality as there's highs and lows. The colors make them fun and they are the perfect boot for schooling at home in. My horse seems comfortable and looks stylish in these boots! What are you waiting for? Go buy them, have some fun! (I would suggest getting them from Tack Liquidators of Tack Of The Day)
