Purchase: I had a credit for Dover Saddlery and always wanted to see for myself, the quality of the Suffolk line of bridles. I thought about it for a while since I had seen quite a few reviews for myself (most of which were negative) and then decided to go for it.
Likes: EVERYTHING! GORGEOUS bridle. I am a tack snob but this bridle is hands down the best bridle I have ever gotten. I was hesitant because of the low price but I am glad I followed through with it. Right out of the package, this bridle felt really nice and soft. I also love that it came with reins. Looks fabulous on my horse. The wide noseband and browband are wide and well constructed like some of the top of the line bridles. The noseband even has a flap to prevent the ROLLER BUCKLE from chafing! It honestly looks like a really expensive bridle. It is actually a much nicer bridle than my Collegiate bridle (double or more the price). Next time I get another bridle, it is going to be a Suffolk!
Dislikes: They are made in India, yes, which would probably discourage people from buying them but they are totally worth it. Even appropriate for shows. Also, it gets such a bad rep for NO REASON! But there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the bridle.
Quality: Amazing. Not just because it is a lot higher quality than other things made in India, but it is high quality period. For the price, an amazing item. Even if it was double the price, it would be worth it. Its even better than Collegiate. The stitching is BEAUTIFUL. The bridle even seems like it was oiled before it was packaged. Beautiful color. The reins are really nice, too. Properly laced and everything (which is more than I can say for Silver Fox's reins). Nice thick leather. Consistent quality throughout.
Summary: Perfect bridle. I recommend it over any other bridle on the market for the price.
