Purchase: Purchased from CTK Sycamore Creek Saddlery $525.00 new. Learned about Tony Pritchett from a friend who bought a saddle through him and loved it. She also has a hard to fit horse. All contact via email. Very informative website. Mr. Pritchett was wonderfully helpful and continues to be so after purchase.
Likes: It's a beautifully made saddle of soft buttery leather. No breaking in needed. Generous seat, nice set of rings for gear. Came completely fitted, with cinch and straps, plus a crupper strap. Nothing "extra" to order. Extremely comfortable well padded seat. Underside also well padded and leather covered, no fleece to wear out or pack down. Stirrups are hung straight so your foot slips right in. No leathers or fenders to "turn." Comes in several lovely colors with matching fittings. Amazing quality for the price!
Dislikes: Nothing not to like!!!! Stirrup leathers could be a little longer for taller people but there is room for new holes at the end.
Quality: Excellent workmanship and materials. All stitching is clean and straight. Leather quality is superb. Very classy and classic. A forever type of saddle.
Summary: Very happy with the saddle, the service and the quality. Fits my extremely short backed Racking Horse and fits me. A hard combination because I need a large seat for a long leg. I thought I was going to have to special order and wait forever for something to fit me. Got the saddle within days of assembling all the pertinent fitting information. Would definitely recommend the company, the product and the salesman.
