Purchase: I bought this from the Tack Exchange in Middleburg, VA for $25.00. I believe they retail for approx. $45.00.
Likes: Horses seem to like this girth. I ride a lot of different horses, and I've never had a horse react badly to it. The elastic on this girth is inside the unit rather than on the ends, so you're less likely to overtighten it. The material is a waffle-weave and is supposed to allow air movement. It's not neoprene, so there's no worry about girth itch, and it doesn't gall like leather. If I have an extremely sensitive horse, I add a girth sock to it. Another thing I like about this girth is that it's SO easy to clean. This model is thicker and softer than the newer contoured girth.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: As with most Wintec products, the construction of this girth is great. I've never had any of my Wintec items come unstitched or fall apart.
Summary: Because most horses like these girths, and because the price is reasonable, this makes a great girth for training, trails, or even lower level shows.
