Purchase: I purchased a custom made $2400 saddle from Synergist. Using their equimeasure kit, sending in all the required pictures and measurements.
Likes: There wasn't much I liked about the saddle but thinking that it was going to fit my horse perfectly was all I needed.
Dislikes: I didn't think the saddle fit me very well since the seat was extremely uncomfortable and even making my feet numb by the end of a long ride.
Quality: The saddle was tree was twisted. It didn't look like it was off by much so I was fooled into thinking that it was my horse moving around when I walked to the other side. I was constantly trying to adjust it. When I contacted Synergist they told me my horse was not symetrical and I should do excersises with her to improve her muscle in her one shoulder.
Summary: In just 4 months of using this saddle it caused major changes in my horses back due to the twisted tree. Her left shoulder was bulging, her right hip had dropped and her sacroilliac was out. Synergist insisted that I was getting too many other opinions and not listening to them the saddle maker. They blamed me the customer for not sending them a proper fitting equimeasure, which is funny since after 5 months of not riding in that horrible saddle luckily my horses back has come back and the equimeasure I sent them now fits perfectly.
I'm lucky that I only used it as long as It did before I had a professional saddle fitter look at it for me or I could have really had permanent damage to my horse.
