Purchase: Bought at a local tack shop here in Québec, Canada for about $80.
Likes: The model that I have has a high neck which snaps securely around my horse and can attach to either the bridle or halter via a velcro loop on the top. It's made to fit over English saddles, so it fits relatively well over my Western model. The sheet is light and easy to attach.
Dislikes: Two major things. This comes with slit along the sides so English riders can put their stirrups on the outside of the sheet during competitions, etc. I don't need this feature, and it lets in a lot of rain. I taped them over with duct tape. (If there's duct tape left on the roll, there's still work to be done!)
Second, the damn thing is not waterproof at all. A light shower is okay...maybe a little wet snow, but if a horse is out in the rain for any length of time, you get a very wet horse!
Quality: Seems to be well constructed. Just is not waterproof.
Summary: After investigation I find out....not to be used as a Turn Out Sheet. I'm keeping this one just to walk down my mare down to the indoor arena, but I've bought another sheet to turn her out in which IS waterproof.
