Purchase: Got an incredible deal as a close out in an ebay auction. Have very wide gypsy horses and have thought about treeless for a long time, but didn't want to try one at the usual retail cost of any decent treeless. This model was a close out of this color (a light tan) and I got it for a third of it's value. That said, given the prices of these type of saddle, I'd say it's worth it's retail price.
Likes: Should fit about anything, and VERY comfortable. I have the model with the english girthing (never used that before so not sure I like it yet) Western fenders and horn. Very well made. I like the way the fenders adjust (buckle at the bottom by the keeper strap) and the fact that it would be very easy to convert to western girth if I wish later, or even to replace the leather straps of the english girthing. (buckles onto a ring on the saddle) It's a different feel if you've never ridden treeless. (you can really FEEL) your horse. My horse seemed to move freer and be more comfortable and the saddle is definitely comfortable. And so lightweight after riding in a regular western saddle! I think this configuration is about 10 lbs.
Dislikes: Stirrups that came with it are pretty cheesy. I'll replace those for sure.
Quality: Over all seems to be good quality materials and well made.
Summary: Overall? I love it. It is a different feel than riding in a treed saddle, but I think over time I might just prefer it to my other saddle. VERY comfortable.
