Purchase: This summer my husband’s big 16-year-old QH started throwing & tossing his head when we went on trail rides, not at all his usual relaxed self. We went through the laundry list of “what could be wrong” and finally decided to contact Debra at Crest Ridge Saddlery. I have one of her saddles so buying again from Debra was not a hard choice. With the pictures and tracings she determined exactly which tree would fit and just to be sure she sent the bare tree to check. Yep, it was the perfect tree, with the flare of walking horse bars, you’d have thought it was built just for this horse it was so well fitted. Hubby’s horse has big shoulders then a dip behind them and his back is slowing dipping with age. Because of this horses back she suggested one of her saddle pads and offered to sew Velcro strips in so as his back drops we can just order pads at different thickness amounts to build up the bridging area as needed. Not only is this a beautiful well made quality saddle at a very, very reasonable price IT FITS, and that means it fits the horse and rider! When we did the white towel test, as part of the check to see if it fit, it was perfect. The saddle has a super comfy seat, balanced riding position and quality leather. Debra is so knowledgeable and talented it’s a joy and learning experience working with her to create the perfect saddle. Going custom does not mean getting slapped with hundreds of dollars extra, it just means you can pick what you want and incorporated from the various saddles she makes. Debra is always looking to make the buyer happy, if you want something all you have to do is ask and she’ll do everything she can to make it happen if possible. My husband was so happy as he said to Debra, “thank you so much, you gave me my horse back!” With his new Crest Ridge saddle when we ride now his horse is completely relaxed with no head toss and enjoys the trails again. This is the only saddle maker I’ll buy from, she’s honest, knows her stuff and goes the extra mile not only during the sale but forever after as well. Total custom saddle, extra long fenders, oversize stirrups, with pad about $1500.00

Dislikes: There is nothing about this saddle I don't like
Quality: High quality leather, excellent construction and workmanship. Beautiful tooling. The pad is 100% wool and conforms to the shape of the horse. Same material as a brand name without the high price
Summary: If you're not sure what you need just call and talk to Debra, no high pressure sales, just lots of help.
