Purchase: I got this saddle from Mary's Tack and Feed in Del Mar, CA after ages of trying and trying all of their saddles. I paid about $2300 for the saddle alone, plus it's saddle cover. I have a really, really long leg so it's very hard to fit. Out of every saddle in this massive tack shop the Versailles with +2 cm flaps fit my leg (which is long from hip to knee, very inconvenient) the best.
Likes: Everything about this saddle is fabulous. The dark tobacco leather is extremely high quality with beautiful stitching across the entire saddle. The white piping lining the back of the cantle is very modern and stylish, in addition to the green and gold buttons on the front end. The panels are SO comfortable and the small front and back blocks are perfectly sized, for me at least. The billets have worn in beautifully. The saddle is about 6 months old and now and all the leather has softened up wonderfully. The matching Prestige leathers are also of such great quality they not only are built to match the saddle, naturally, but they don't stretch out at all and lay flat under your thigh. When running cross country and stadium jumping in this saddle I feel so extremely secure. The seat is deep enough to make you feel comfortable but easy to get up out of as well. My horse absolutely loves this saddle as much as I do as it fits him like a glove. The panels are built with great quality and would fit many horses!
Dislikes: There is honestly nothing I don't like about this saddle. The only thing I don't like is that I'm always afraid I'm going to damage it or get it dirty! Ha ha! A wonderful quality saddle.
Quality: It is built by angels, quite possibly. Or maybe Santa's elves...whichever would do a better job.
Summary: This saddle is perfect. I love everything about it from the design/style to the comfort and support it gives to both the horse and rider! A great buy, worth every penny. Plus, the fact that it's Italian makes me like it more! :)
