Purchase: I bought four boots for $24.99 at Fluegals. My horse was getting bloody fly bites on his legs, so I thought that I would give these a whirl.
Likes: I like the secure velcro. I also liked the very light mesh so they were not hot. They were easy to clean, (just hose off) and they were easy to put on. My horse was not annoyed by the boots either. They survived the pasture and the pasture mates. The fly bites disappeared and, along with my wrangler fly mask and sheet, I eliminated flies altogether. I used one bottle of fly spray the whole summer because they were not a problem. They were also pretty reasonably priced.
Dislikes: The only thing I was not crazy about was that they got dirty fast, but that is not fair to hold against them as they are being used on my horses feet and legs. I could just hose them off and let them dry.
Quality: They've held up great! Nice, strong velcro. Easy on and easier off. Triple stitching. Light mesh. I love them.
Summary: I highly recommend them to any horse at all, even those who don't suffer from fly bites.
