Purchase: Introduced to them by a friend who was deer hunting in Wyoming about 4 years ago. He left us a pair when he went home after hunting. He had loved them for his whole hunting trip in very cold, wet weather. We shared them that winter on the ranch getting up every 2 hours in -20 degree weather. The price ranged from $109 ( sportsmanship warehouse) to about $134 in some catalogs.
Likes: Everything. They are amazing. We hunt (deer/ antelope), ride ( I ride in them ALL the time in the winter and love them whether in my western saddle or dressage saddle). My feet had frozen for years and years of riding and it was miserable. Now they are warm, dry and very comfy. I put my orthotics in them and I can wear them all day working the ranch. My partner is the same way. We still have the same 2 pair.
Dislikes: Sometimes the sag down just a little on me and I have to pull them up on my calves. I see now they have a mid calf type and for me I would probably get at least one pair of those so I had a choice of which one to wear.
Quality: Excellent quality and construction. Good support on the feet. I have very bad feet and always have trouble with shoes and boots. These did amazing even without my orthotics.
Summary: We tell everyone about these ( riders and hunters and ranchers alike). We had tried all kinds of boots over the years as we are active in winter activities. These are the best for warm, comfort, durability etc.
