Purchase: Purchased this saddle on Ebay for $588. I was looking for a comfortable lightweight saddle
Likes: I have always had back problems. I had surgery in July and decided to sell me heavier western saddle to get a more comfortable lightweight saddle. After reading tons of reviews for different saddles, I decided on the Crosby Sofride. I couldn't believe how well made this saddle is. And the comfort has nothing to compare to. The seat is soft and keeps you in position. I love the leather. Easy to break in. I feel totally in contact with my horse. She seems to respond a lot easier than with the other english saddles I've tried. My saddle is black which looks gorgeous against my palomino quarter horse.
Dislikes: The only things I don't like are the stiff billets and the flaps are hard to break in. They seem a bit stiff and slippery.
Quality: The saddle, overall, is VERY well made. Superior construction.
Summary: I love this saddle. Period. I've owned a Keiffer saddle which I thought I would want again but found it to be uncomfortable compared to the Sofride. I also love that it's so light and easy to carry with one arm. I can ride in this saddle with no pain. It actually makes my back feel better than the PT I had gone to for weeks after surgery. I use it for everything from dressage to trail to jumping and have no problems at all with it.
