Dislikes: It was one of the most uncomfortable saddles I had ever sat in. Did NOT fit my horse.
Quality: Very good quality
Summary: I have a wide withered mare and was having a hard time finding an off the shelf saddle that would fit her. I thought I would do "the right thing" and save my money and get a saddle fitted just for her. I researched the saddles and loved the reviews and happily started my order. Cynthia was super friendly and helpful. I even paid extra for the fit forms to make absolutely sure that the saddle would fit. I received the saddle and was extremely pleased at the quality and how nice it looked. After a few weeks of riding in the saddle, I realized several things, my horses HATED the saddle and I found it more uncomfortable than any other saddle I'd ridden in. I thought maybe that my horse was just being fussy and took some time off. After all, how could a "custom fit saddle" not fit the horse it was "custom fit" for? After much trial and error, I found that no matter the pad combination, I could not get a fit that made my horse happy. I even took her for a visit to the chiropractor, who told me that that saddle absolutely did not fit and it bridged her very badly. Riding in the saddle for me was equally painful. There were ridges in the seat that seemed to stretch my hips at an odd angle and after a while my hip, then knee would hurt and eventually the balls of my feet would go numb. I emailed Cynthia, and was only offered a chance to list the saddle on her site, as the saddle was used by this point. I lost a lot of hard earned money when I had to resell that saddle and it took a long time to save the difference back up again. I learned my lesson the hard way. Beautiful saddle, and it sure looks like it'd be comfy. Maybe at one time they were really nice, but I would definitely think twice before recommending one of these saddles to anybody looking for a comfortable trail saddle.
