Purchase: I tried the halter because I'd seen a lot of people with rope halters and well-behaved horses.

Likes: It works!! It does! It makes pushy behavior uncomfortable and quiet walking behind me "the better deal." My husband was a hard sell but after a month, he was a fan as well and bought a set for himself. The rope lead is not like any other lead I'd ever had. It is yachting rope so it can curl around your finger. Better yet, it can curl around my horses leg (for desensitization.) It can carry a "wave" back to the horse so you can direct him from afar or keep him back with the wave of your hand.

Dislikes: I like it all. I bought three. And it is not expensive if you are a club member, which is worth it if for nothing else than the monthly DVDs or access to 20 years of long format television shows.

Quality: Much better than the store-bought rope haters I had tried. The rope is thinner, and the knots are tighter and smaller. It sits correctly on the face. The lead ropes, being yachting rope, wash up easily and they still look new a year later.

Summary: I love it. And the program really did save my horse where three (English) trainers had failed. Anderson is gentler and more concerned with safety than most of the other "cowboys" and his background in dressage helped me connect. Best of all, I did it myself. No more depending on arrogant trainers to solve my problems for me!!
