Purchase: I bought the Paris Tack Dressage Saddle Set from Tackwholesale.com for $500.
Likes: It was a cheap starter set, and I needed a saddle with a wider gullet than my older Cambridge dressage saddle.
Dislikes: Seat is too shallow for me. I feel like I'm perched atop my horse. I also strongly dislike the knee rolls. They act like a wedge between my knee and the horse. After one year, I have quit riding in this saddle because I can't maintain a consistent leg contact while cantering. I don't have this problem when riding my Cambridge nor my barrel saddle (which obviously has no knee roll whatsoever.)
Quality: Leather is soft and flexible which is better than most low-end starter set saddles.
Summary: I read all the reviews on this website regarding this saddle before I decided to purchase. Other reviews favorably compared this Paris saddle to used Courbettes and Passier. If those brand-name saddles ride like this Paris, then I guess that I've been spared spending 3x the money for something I won't like.
