Purchase: I was given this bridle as a gift from Dover. At the time, the price was $100 because it was on sale. Currently it is advertised for $149 with the 'list price' being $162.
Likes: I adore this bridle. I use it on a daily basis, often times switching from horse to horse. Although it runs a little large, I adjusted that easily with some extra holes and cutting the flash noseband a little shorter. I was given this bridle around the same time as my friend bought a $300+ German-made padded bridle and we both agree that mine looks far nicer now. Hers is still stiff and unyeilding while mine looks comfortable and relaxed on my horses face. I have used this bridle on everything from warmbloods, thoroughbreds, quarterhorses, and draft-crosses with great success. The leather cleans well and takes oil without becoming overly greasy.
Dislikes: When I received the bridle, the flash noseband was HUGE. I had to punch in at least a dozen new holes and I ended up trimming the ends.
Quality: The quality of the leather is beautiful, it came to me a little stiff which was expected but quickly molded to the shape I needed it to be. The leather can be oiled and cleaned easily. The metal buckles are sturdy and have not given me any trouble, even when I decided to put on a new browband (I wanted some sparkles.)
Summary: I would compare this bridle to far more expensive padded bridles, I believe it is just as nice as several Vespucci and Stubben bridles if not nicer. I have used it for 2 years already and expect it to last 10+ more.
