Purchase: Bought this sheet from Chick's Discount and Saddlery website chicksaddlery.com. It was on sale for $39.99.
Likes: The color of the sheet is about the only thing I like about it. I bought the hunter green and it was a deep rich nice looking color.
Dislikes: I bought this sheet for my recently body clipped horse. I should have sent it back as soon as I opened the package and realized how thin it was and how cheaply made it felt, but instead I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a try. It was raining next morning when I brought my horse in from the field and the sheet was soaking wet, steam was coming from my horse in the sheet area because his entire body was wet in the cool weather, and one of the leg straps looked like it had been through a shredder. I know horses can be rough on clothes but I've never seen a strap fall apart so quickly before.
Quality: Very poor construction and quality.
Summary: I would not recommend a Tough-1 weatherproof turnout sheet to anyone. This was a waste of money. My poor horse had to wear a sheet for hours that soaked up the water and trapped it against his body, the heat trapped under the wet sheet reminded me of cheap rain jackets that make you sweat and this made me wonder if it was breathable at all. Very disappointed in this product!
