Purchase: Purchased from Mr. Saddle on Ebay. Paid $300 for saddle.
Likes: I didn't expect this saddle to be as nice as it is. Suede seat, decent fenders and nice tooling. Stated it was a hardwood tree wrapped in fiberglass and it looks it. Sound tree and by gosh it fits my QH mare really well. Well balanced, my legs hang under me not stuck in a chair seat. Mare moves well in it and sweat pattern is even (no dry spots)
Dislikes: Well, I'm kind of a saddle snob so when I figured out that the saddle was imported from India,I about cried. That was before I saw it and rode in it. Have to say it's better than expected. With all the horror stories you hear about "made in India" saddles I figured I got took. I don't feel that way at all now. Leather is a bit dry so have to condition it more. Not the highest quality leather but rivals any of the lower end American made saddles easily. Decorative conchos are cheapie but that doesn't bother me.
Quality: No staples! (seen enough of those in Abetta and Wintec saddles) Screws that are tight and leather is even. Stitching very nice and even. Tree appears sound and tough. Comfortable seat. Blevins style buckles on fenders. Haven't seen a nail in it. Stirrups are wide and comfortable (although lined in suede, a little odd) Better made then a lot of what is out there.
Summary: I keep looking for negatives in this saddle and haven't found anything. It may not be a lifetime saddle but for what we do, it's fine. Very pleased with this purchase and tired of the folks that slam Asian import saddles. Better look at your Wintecs and QUITE a few others before you put all saddles in that category! Would I prefer it be made in US, yes. However, I am pleasantly surprised and would be willing to bet this saddle will be just fine for me and my mare over the course of time. Gave it a 4 only cause leather needs oiling a bit.
