Purchase: Purchased through ebay for $116.99 Free ship. Read good things about it and have already tried other Thinline products I was pleased with. My Arab is hard to fit and this is it for awhile...fits him perfect!
Likes: Awesome pad! Very sturdy/luxurious. Horse loves it! Most important! I LOVE IT! The Thinline really does work and makes the sitting trot bareback EXCELLENT! No painful back/slipping off the horse. I've sat through several spooks and still stayed on! I can easily do dressage/give aids to my boy without losing balance!
Dislikes: It is rather expensive, but you get what you pay for with this one! Well worth the money I'd say. Wish non slip girth had wider band at billet area to prevent buckle from sliding/ touching horse. Nothing else!
Quality: Sturdy, well designed. Has suede on inside of billets. A thick Thinline pad built in the seat for the rider. Nice squishy waffle non slip girth. This thing DOESN'T slip at all! I've sat through spooks and side crowhops and I say put! I can even do rising trot in this pad! Prevents soreness in horse's back and mine! Has brown edging with black Thinline center. Has front rings for Breastcollar attachment and rear rings for crupper attachments. Pretty thoughtful of the designer.
Summary: Well, it doesn't look like I'll ever find a saddle my Arab is comfortable with! I will just stick to this Thinline pad and do dressage/trailing in it. Just be sure to wear a helmet at ALL times while riding (goes for saddle riding too of course). REALLY does help balance and well worth the money. Thinline is WORTH EVERY PENNY. I have the Cushion grip non slip reins and a Thinline non slip pad for my other horse's saddle. Both horses LOVE Thinline and I notice the difference in their attitudes. They relax and lift their backs and that's something they never did before so willingly.
