Purchase: I purchased through SmartPak Equine for $52.95 plus shipping. I read good things about these bridles and decided to give one a try. SmartPak makes sure you are satisfied with your purchases and even pays the shipping for returns! Nothing to lose.
Likes: Awesome bridle! Certainly excellent quality! Leather smells like EXPENSIVE high end bridles do! I wouldn't even begin to guess it was $50! Fits my horse to a T and he likes it too!
Dislikes: The bridle comes in pieces. You have to put it together yourself. For the money and quality, I can't complain. Just a surprise is all lol. The tag does say made in India...another surprise, but again, can't complain because of the price and the QUALITY and VALUE!
Quality: Quality leather. Does have some rubs/frays in some places, but that's minor and to be expected for the price. Leather is buttery soft and smells high end. Made in India, but don't let that scare or fool you. DOES NOT smell like Indian leather at all! NO fishy smell! Stitching is tight and secure. Fits my Arabian in the cob size perfect. True to size in my experience. Comes with leather hand stop web reins. They are nice as well. You have to put the bridle together yourself. Comes in a bag in pieces. Browband and cavesson are padded luxuriously. The crown is not and it doesn't matter one bit...the leather is soo buttery soft it doesn't need any padding if you know what I mean. Surprisingly enough. The flash is removable. The bridle does need a little breaking in because as usual they are stiff at first (with most bridles I know of). Other than that, buttery soft and luxurious.
Summary: I would happily buy another. Excellent for schooling and even showing (the rubs/frays I spoke of were small and barely noticeable)! I think it will last a long time with loving care. This bridle is softer than my Courbette!! Now that ought to tell you something! :)
